Personal Update (or: How Chaos Beat My Trick)
Hello again dear Bear Blog!
I just wanted to give a quick update. After posting my first post about how I found a "trick" to form some kind of a writing habit, I just disappeared for 3 weeks. What happened? Wasn't this trick supposed to be the remedy to all my problems? Well, I forgot to consider one thing, the chaos of life.
Until my previous post, I had lots of free time. In that free time, I had lots of space to form new habits. But like 3 days after publishing the post, work got heavier, I got contacted by one of the companies that I applied to and they gave me a case study1 to solve and I had some events happened in my personal life. So, with all these events in my life I found myself unable to do anything outside these things.
But, even when life gets hard and I feel lost in the chaos, I should find comfort in my routines. Because isn't that what habits are about? They are one of the few things in life we can truly control, however small that control may be. So, I will try to hold on to this habit as much as I can. Because when I write, the chaos of life seems to calm down a little.
By the way, I really hate case studies. I am not against the idea but most of the time, it is sent to me at a really early stage and I need to allocate too much time to properly solve it. In early stage of an application, solving these kind of case studies seems like a huge commitment to me.↩
